KARMA
Karma is a common phenomenon word used in Buddhism
and Hinduism temple, It means ''what goes around comes around'' This law was
adopted in the past by this two old religions; to create a free mindedness
atmosphere between their followers.
Karma is thus not a punishment or retribution but
simply and extended expression or consequence of natural acts. Life would have
been a better place for everyone of us, if we have been practicing this believe
on our daily routine as we are growing up, but reverse is the case.
The world is now like a battlefield where remorse
is extincts, chivalry have been replaced with rivalry, this is a world where
oppression and cheating is the order of the day. Nobody care to know the repercussion or outcome
of this unlawful act, which make law of karma always hunt us down and feed us
with largest portion of the cruelty we have prepared in the past.
''What goes around will always comes around as tomorrow never sing a promising song to anyone'' this quote may sound weird
but take it or leave it that's the way it is. It is because today is the money
we have, and if we don't spend the money (i.e Today) wisely we may die of hunger tomorrow, which literally means ''if we live like today is our last day on
earth without showing a good courtesy to our neighborhood its obvious we will
have to face the consequence tomorrow, if we happen to be alive''
In anything we do in this life, we should
understand fully that there is record for it. Either good or bad, today's dream
is tomorrow reality.
This piece of writing remind me of a story of two young men, they are both fresh graduates. Vincent is from averagely rich
background, while Jude is from a poor background. They are both best of friend.
Vincent is such a humble and gentle young man, he is the one that sponsored Jude
right from secondary school level to university level. They are living like
brothers, Jude on his side is a cool and calm dude.
They are both unemployed, seeking for employment.
While they are waiting for any available call-up they got an offer from one of
the biggest financial institution in their country. They resume duty, and
everything is going on smoothly without any disturbance, Vincent and Jude are married
and living a comfortable lifestyle, God bless them with kids.
One day, when Vincent is coming back from work, a
trailer with malfunction break knocked his car off the road to a canal beside
the road, people come to his rescue and rushed him to nearest medical centre.
This accident cause some damages to Vincent's Spinal cord, which eventually
will need to be operated before he can be able to stand on his feet again. The
money for the operation will cost him 1.2million dollars $, but he is able to
raise 650,000 $ so he turn to his friend Jude to borrow him 550,000 $ for the
operation, Jude promise to borrow him the money and dash him 50,000$ making
600,000$. Everybody thanks Jude for his kindness, Jude and his wife leave the
hospital.
When they reach home, Jude wife asked him why he
have to take a decision without her consent ? but Jude didn't mind her, she try
to confuse Jude not to give Vincent the money but he refused. She give him one
instance, ''what of if you borrow him this huge amount of money and the
operation is not successful, who is going to pay you back ? '' hello ! is it
the man on wheelchair that's going to raise that huge cash ?
Think about this suicide mission that can wreck you, Jude wife stated.

Jude think about it and feel perplexed, he
doesn't know what to do again the frustration his wife is giving him is turning
him against his will and against his best friend. Jude follow his wife decision
and he never go back to hospital again to check on his childhood friend again
,he is not picking his call again and order his security not to open the gate
for anyone from Vincent family. Vincent was sacked from work as his current
condition is deteriorating, he feel dejected and betrayed from his best friend.
He cry and cry out of pain, this make his wife go and check on Jude in his
house but she was chased by dog.
This is what Vincent gain from his kindness and
open mindedness, the doctor advised him and give him a best way to raise the
funds. The doctor said they should put him on TV and ask for aids from the
public, Vincent and his wife tell him that they will think about it and get
back to him. Vincent order for his gratuity from his employer, with the aid of
one of his senior colleague his request was granted in no time,they are able to
help him with 250,000 $. That bring his
total money to 900,000 $ which will remain 300,000$, Vincent's wife suggest
that they should sell off their uncompleted site and their two cars to raise
the money for the operation instead of begging for monetary aids on national
television, Vincent accept this suggestion and call on his lawyer to prepare
the documents for the buyer.
They sell the properties, and Vincent have a
successful operation. He's back on his feet but he is still receiving treatment
in his house. Jude on his side is doing great after a work transfer took him to
capital of Nigeria Abuja, He was promoted to one of the senior staff as he's
now working at their company's headquarter. It was late in the night when
something strange happen, Jude got this strange alert on his phone which wrote
that.....
''The sum of 100 million pounds have been credited to your domiciliary
account'' Jude can't believe it, he thought he was in trance, he quickly open his laptop to confirm, when the
page fully pop-up he saw the money on his account. He knows they have wired the
money into his account out of error, he call his wife in Lagos immediately to
let her know the surprise message he just received. She tell him to cool it
down that when he comes home by weekend they will discuss on the development.
When he arrived, his wife tell him to go and withdraw the money, which he
does, She latter advice him to resign from work so that they can start their
large scale groceries and super mart stores. Jude resign from work and build a
glasshouse mansion, where Jude and his family is living, by then he don't
longer operate any local bank or foreign bank again. He keep his money in his
safe at home.
Vincent have an appointment, and he was rushing to meet up with the time,
he saw Jude on his open roof car, he waved at him trying to stop the car but
Jude who have grow wings speed off and splash water on his best friend body. He
was once again feel embarrassed , though he was able to secure the job based on
his wealth of experience but what Jude did to him makes him to doubt his own
existence. When he reach home he narrate his ordeal to his wife, but she blame
him for passing his boundary, she then congratulate him for finally getting a
job after 18months at home.
Jude may look like undisputed champion, but his fortune can't conquer law
of karma, Things have really goes around for Jude but hasn't comes around. Jude
and his wife is planning to travel to Dubai to purchase their groceries and
everything they will need to start their world class groceries stores and
super mart.
One evening Jude and his wife and their only daughter go to the casino to
catch fun and play games, their security guard on duty go out to get call-card,
on his way he saw an old girlfriend, he quickly renew his acquaintance as they
have lost contact, he follow the girl, forgetting that he his cooking noodles
on the gas. He take the girl to nearby motel, after a while the gas exploded
and fire attract the power generating plant, which make it very easy to
penetrate the main building, before people around will call on the fire station
the fire has overwhelm and cover the whole mansion.
When the fire fighter arrive, all they could meet is ashes and rubbles of
the great glasshouse mansion. Jude and his wife arrived at the scene, what he
saw makes him faint, his wife quickly use her imagination, she knows that
everything is gone for him as all his money inside the house has burn, except
the car and 5million $ they won from casino which is inside the boot, she
quickly take her daughter inside the car and run away with money. When Jude wake
up he meet himself beside the gutter early in the morning, his wealth has
vanished, wife have disappeared, no where to run to because he has stepped on
toes. He have allowed his wife to misled him, He have allowed arrogance to used
him. Where did he want to start from ? His story is now from something to
nothing. Similar event do happen everywhere across the globe but i want you all
to learn from this story and be your brothers keeper. Tomorrow never sing a
promising song to anyone.
